One Wednesday Miss Fletcher was in with us and she took us out for a walk to show us some autumn leaves. I liked picking up the leaves and bringing them inside to look at the bright colours. We saw a tree that had gold leaves all over. Here is my leaves poem.....

Hi Mollie my name is Nikara, I am a year 6 student and I go to Paihia School. Your poem has some cool descriptive words in it. My favourite type of poem is an acrostic poem. When I was a year 4 we made some acrostic poems with our names. Do you like making a big pile of leaves and falling into it?
